Our reputable agency is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Burnley. As a full-time position, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the learning journey of young minds, starting from September.
Role and Responsibilities:
*Deliver high-quality and engaging Design and Technology lessons to secondary school students.
*Teach various aspects of Design Technology, including but not limited to graphics, product design, textiles, and resistant materials.
*Develop and implement creative lesson plans, catering to different learning styles and abilities.
*Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student collaboration.
*Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
*Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and any concerns.
*Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Design and Technology curriculum.
*Stay updated with the latest educational trends and advancements in the field of Design and Technology.
Requirements:
*Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in Design and Technology.
*Experience teaching Design and Technology to secondary school students, preferably within the UK education system.
*Strong subject knowledge and a deep understanding of the Design Technology curriculum.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
*Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
*A collaborative and adaptable approach, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
*Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning within the classroom.
