Job Description:
SEND Teaching Assistant - School in Barking and Dagenham I am currently working with a lovely Primary school in Barking and Dagenham who have an SEND class for children with Autism. They are urgently seeking an Autism specialist Teaching Assistant to join their school as soon as possible.
About the role: The needs of the pupils they cater for range from:
* ASC (verbal and non-verbal)
* Learning difficulties
* Complex needs
We welcome applicants with a good understanding of working with students with severe ASC and profound, multiple learning difficulties and are enthusiastic about raising the attainment of their pupils.
You will ideally have experience in supporting children with special educational needs or will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs. You will be based within a mainstream primary school in a specialist SEND provision for children with Autism. There are 12 children and 6 members of staff in the class.
