JOB: Business Analyst/Project Manager – FRTB SA
Location: London / Hybrid working
Client: Sell Side - Investment Bank
Full Time Contract via Quanteam UK
Start Date: January 2025
Role Overview
We are seeking a hybrid Business Analyst/Project Manager (BA/PM) to lead and support the successful implementation of the FRTB Standardized Approach (SA) framework. The candidate will work closely with risk, finance, and IT teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while managing project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Analysis
*Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for the implementation of the FRTB SA framework.
*Collaborate with Market Risk and IT teams to translate regulatory requirements into functional specifications.
*Perform gap analyses and define solutions to align current systems with FRTB SA compliance needs.
* Project Management
*Manage the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
*Maintain project plans, risk logs, and governance reporting for the FRTB SA initiative.
*Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver key milestones.
* Stakeholder Engagement
*Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
*Facilitate workshops, progress updates, and issue resolution sessions.
* Regulatory Compliance
*Ensure the project meets all regulatory requirements related to FRTB SA.
*Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on compliance progress and risks.
Key Skills & Experience:
*Proven experience in a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager role within Market Risk or Regulatory Change programs.
*Strong knowledge of the FRTB Standardized Approach (SA) and related regulatory requirements.
*Ability to manage complex projects and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
*Familiarity with market risk systems, risk modeling, and data flows.
*Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience working on FRTB SA projects in a financial institution.
*PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
