As a Pensions and Benefits Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our employee benefits programs, including pension schemes, health benefits, and other employee-related perks to support the attraction and retention of our colleagues. The role is responsible for performing internal and external market data analysis, recommending program enhancements, ensuring stakeholder collaboration and compliance with relevant regulations plus providing expert guidance to employees.

What you’ll do day to day
*Monitor and analyse data related to employee benefits and usage. Understand differences in any current offerings within Group 1 UK, and make recommendations for improvements based on findings, incorporating market trends, benchmarking, analysis of current workforce demographics and feedback collated through colleague forums and surveys.
*Conduct research and benchmarking on benefits offerings to ensure competitiveness and alignment with automotive industry standards.
*Liaise with external providers and consultants to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and evaluate service delivery to ensure that we are leveraging maximum benefit and support for our colleagues from existing contracts.
*Creation and maintenance of benefits policies and procedures, ensuring benefit program decisions are governed, documented and comply with UK legislation and best practices.
*Partner with the broader People team and Internal Communications to develop and implement strategies to educate employees about their benefits options, including workshops, informational materials, and one-on-one support.
*Support the maintenance of accurate records of employee benefits enrolments, changes, and compliance reporting, collating and analysing data to provide quality insights to inform strategic and tactical decision-making.
*Act as the primary point contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, claims, and enrolment processes, providing clear and accurate information.
*Proactively engage with the US Reward team to help shape and drive a global benefit strategy for Group 1

*Proficient knowledge of UK pension schemes, employment law, and benefits legislation.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support employees at all levels.
