Overview An established and recognisable organisation have recently approached Mitchell Adam to help them find an enthusiastic Commercial Accountant to join their talented team. The organisation offers a fantastic culture of colleagues who will be always looking to assist you in your duties and will ensure you have an engaging and entertaining time in this position. The organisation offers hybrid working for those who are looking to work in a more flexible style, and have free on-site car parking for all of its staff. They’re based in Birmingham City Centre and have ease of access from local train stations such as New Street and Snowhill. They’re looking for an individual who has experience with budgeting and forecasting alongside producing Management Account packs.
The organisation are based in the retail sector, they provide a fantastic benefits package such as a high pension contribution and a brilliant annual leave package. The role has come about due to a recent expansion of the team, and they are looking for a Commercial Accountant to join the team in the New Year and hit the ground running. Some of the duties expected will be to produce the management accounts for the CFO, this will include working on the balance sheet and the P&L and producing comprehensive reports alongside producing comprehensive reports for senior management. As an experienced individual, your opinion and thoughts will be valued and heard, you will be directly involved with meetings with senior stakeholders including the CFO, and you will be producing the budgeting and forecasting for the organisation. There are some real avenues for progression here, and you will be rewarded for your efforts.
Skills Required *To have experience producing management accounts in your career, there will be room for training and development, but it is important to have a key understanding.
*To have been involved with the budgeting process on a strong level, this will be an integral part of the role and will be crucial for you to have this prior experience.
*To be charismatic and confident, you will be directly involved with meetings and conversations with senior stakeholders, it is important to be able to communicate in a manner which is effective and efficient.
*To be commercially minded, as this role will include aspects of looking to improve inefficiencies and profitability within the organisation.
