Job Description:

At Ground Control, we have an opportunity for an experienced RRV / Plant Operator to join our Arboriculture in Rail & Infrastructure division on a zero hours contract based Nationally.
Duties required of a plant operator are to include but are not limited to:
*Using your experience to assist in Possible Site visits.
*Be flexible on working hours and Location.
*Understand, interpret and work, according to site plans, written instructions, or verbal guidance.
*Operate a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on the railway with the possibility of highways, Utilities and construction sites.
*Prioritize working in a clean and tidy manner to protect the environment and prevent pollution.
*Perform pre-start equipment checks, document findings, and submit reports as required.
*Carry out routine lubrication of equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
*Safely operate any plant or equipment you are trained and competent to use, this may be owned or hired in and will include the use of specialized attachments.
*Adhere to relevant legislation, such as Health and Safety at Work, LOLER, COSHH etc.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally you will have a background in rail Plant, with some experience using Vegetation / Forestry Equipment but skillsets will be assessed individually.
*CPCS/NPORS Cardholder
*CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator Wheeled
*CPCS A59C Lifting with Excavators/NPORS Excavator as Crane
*CPCS Safe Working Practices Around Construction Plant Equipment
*PTS with relevant Sentinel Competencies’ such as Excavator Crane, Tailors, Hydraulic Grab
