Job Description:
Equitas is seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join one of our partner schools. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a co-educational secondary school with a ’Good’ Ofsted rating, known for its supportive and vibrant learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Biology lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
*Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for Biology and the natural sciences.
*Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum requirements, tailoring content to support and challenge students at all levels.
*Monitor and support student progress through effective feedback and communication with parents and colleagues.
*Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and enrichment programs.
Essential Requirements:
*Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Proven experience teaching Biology within a secondary school setting is desirable, but applications from early career teachers are welcome.
*Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Biology, including experience teaching at A-Level (KS5).
*A commitment to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
*Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
