Job Description:
Equitas is seeking a creative and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join one of our partner schools. This co-educational secondary school with a ’Good’ Ofsted rating offers a welcoming and supportive environment for both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging and interactive Food Technology lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, fostering a love for cooking and nutrition.
*Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and inspire students to explore culinary arts and healthy eating.
*Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure their development and success.
*Ensure the safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and materials in the classroom.
*Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs or school-wide events promoting food and health.
Essential Requirements:
*Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Proven experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting is desirable, though early career teachers are welcome to apply.
*Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology, with a focus on practical skills, food science, and nutrition.
*A passion for inspiring students and helping them develop valuable life skills.
*Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
