Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Semiconductor Engineering, based in Cambridge, to join this world leader in Semiconductor design.
This new Cambridge based opportunity will have you managing a Semiconductor Design Team. A strong knowledge and understanding of Semiconductors is essential for this opportunity, as well as proven management/project management experience.
Responsibilities for this Head of Semiconductor Engineering role:
*Line management of engineers within the Semiconductor Design Team.
*Management of design projects for both internal product developments and external client work.
*Manage existing client relationships.
*Drive efforts to grow third-party design service revenue in conjunction with the relevant Product Line Director.
*Collaborate with, coordinate and advise diverse teams within the company such as product management, engineering and marketing.
*Establish and manage long-term relationship with stakeholders.
*Track, measure and analyse performance metrics using KPI’s and prepare reports for senior management.
*Manage and track expenditures, financial goals and budgets.
Key responsibilities:
*Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline or physics.
*Extensive engineering experience within the semiconductor industry, particularly in RF & mmWave technologies.
*Experience of project and/or line management in a commercial environment.
*Strong writing and editing skills combined with an appreciation of sales and marketing.
*Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
