Contract Network Automation Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with expertise in network automation to join our team at HSBC. The successful candidate will work on automating network tasks and processes using technologies such as Cisco, Firewalls, Proxy, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Python.
Responsibilities *Automate network tasks and processes across Cisco devices, firewalls, and proxy systems.
*Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts to streamline network operations.
*Implement and manage automation tools such as Ansible and Kubernetes for network infrastructure.
*Work closely with network engineers to identify and prioritize opportunities for automation.
*Ensure the robustness, reliability, and efficiency of automated network processes
Key Skills: *Python Scripting: Experience in writing Python scripts to automate network security tasks, firewall configurations, proxies, and other network management activities.
*Ansible Automation: Proficient in using Ansible to automate network configurations, firewall rule deployments, and system setup tasks at scale.
*Kubernetes & Golang Automation: Strong experience with Kubernetes for managing containerized environments, or Golang for building scalable automation tools and infrastructure management systems.
*Global Regulatory Compliance: Experience supporting and ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001) through automation, auditing, and secure network design.
*Full Cycle Network Project Support: Proven experience in supporting network projects from planning and implementation to ongoing support, with a focus on automation, security, and performance optimization
Additional Skills & Qualifications *Experience with other automation tools.
*Strong problem-solving skills.
*Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
