Are you an experienced Finance Analyst looking for your next opportunity? 
We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sovereign Network Group as Finance Analyst – Financial Planning and Analysis on a fixed term basis for 12 months. You’ll be based from our head office in Basingstoke, combining office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting into the Head of FP&A, you’ll deliver financial analysis and insight to the business, including support to deliver monthly management reporting, budgets, and forecasts with input to statutory reporting. You’ll provide sound financial advice and support to senior stakeholders to support in driving SNG forwards. Responsibilities include:
*Leading on key monthly timetable deliverables, collating the monthly performance packs and preparing materials to be presented to the Board including commentary and analysis
*Ensuring the effective running of the monthly and quarterly financial forecast process across the business
*Working closely with senior managers and finance business partners to ensure the business performance is fully understood and communicated effectively, including an understanding of Risks & Opportunities
*Identifying and driving forward process and reporting improvements to facilitate improved business insights, including standardisation, consistency and accuracy of reporting as well as championing reporting tools such as Power BI
*Sourcing, collating and analysing both financial and non-financial operational data including trends, benchmarking and comparatives to produce reliable reports that drive business performance, support effective cost management and value for money

What we need from you
You’ll be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong practical experience and knowledge of financial analysis and appraisal, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting. You’ll also:
*Have strong analytical skills, with experience drawing key financial insights
*Demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
*Have strong stakeholder management skills, building trusted relationships with the ability to effectively influence or challenge where required
*Be highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
*Show strong prioritisation skills, working well to deadlines
*Have strong IT skills, including MS Office
Any experience with PowerBI would be advantageous but isn’t essential
