Now hiring an Electrical Technician temporary (Parental Cover) to join Commscope at extraordinary exciting times, as we are experiencing an expansion of new lines!
You will join our Electrical Engineering team, collaborating with the closely with the multi field engineering team and is responsible for the wiring and testing of new products under the mentorship of the Engineering Team Leaders, working at our Malton, North Yorkshire location where there is a chance to create a real impact on the team in the UK and Worldwide.
How You’ll Help Us Connect the World:
The role involves developing cabinet wiring systems to meet customer demands and expectations. You will work as part of the development team, closely liaising with electrical and mechanical engineers and technicians.
Responsibilities include carrying out site installations, fault finding, and repairs, along with generating reports on findings. Additionally, you will wire and test development products, ensuring compliance with all electrical standards and regulations, and produce test reports. Assisting in the completion of the CommScope PDP framework is also part of the job,
which includes testing and validating new and existing products according to project target timescales. Identifying and assisting in implementing cost and efficiency improvements is another key aspect of the role.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
*Fault finding and rectification previous experience.
*The ability to follow technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals and assist in the creation of in-house versions of these documents if not readily available.
*Knowledge of electrical safe isolation procedure and safe working practices.
*General electrical testing and awareness of required legislation.
*Digital literacy and IT skills, with a fundamental understanding of Microsoft office products, including Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Forms

*Experience using SAP systems.
