Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Purchasing Assistant to join our Procurement team. This role is ideal for someone with solid experience in procurement, looking to further their career in a vibrant environment. 
In this role, you will be instrumental in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to support our business operations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
*Building, maintaining, and managing supplier relationships.
*Conducting supplier negotiations and placing purchase orders.
*Managing procurement databases and supplier files.
*Participating in supplier selection and assessment processes.
*Preparing cost analysis reports to aid decision-making.
*Assisting the accounts department with invoice discrepancies.
*Reviewing market opportunities to increase sales margins and turnover.
*Undertaking occasional travel to sites and supplier visits within the UK.
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in procurement, preferably with exposure to both direct and indirect spend categories. The ideal candidate will have:
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Excellent analytical, planning, and prioritising abilities.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
*Commercial and financial awareness.
*A valid full UK Driving Licence.
*The right to work in the UK.
