The Role :
We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to work at a wonderful SEN School based in Cambridge. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with a variety of learning, emotional, and physical needs in a classroom setting. Your responsibilities will include:
*Assisting the class teacher with delivering lessons and supporting individual students
*Providing one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs
*Helping students with tasks, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
*Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
*Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive classroom environment
*Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents
To be successful in this role, you will need:
*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
*A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to working with students
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*The ability to work as part of a collaborative team
*A proactive attitude and the ability to use your initiative
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
*Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable, but not essential
