Job Description:
Simon Acres Recruitment are working with a leading KBB manufacturer who are looking for a Product Manager to join their team based in Manchester.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.Flexibility to work from 1 day per week and to meet the needs of the business.
You will play an active role in driving the product strategy, development and lifecycle management of kitchen products. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing and supply chain, working to a product portfolio that meet customer needs. Reporting into the Commercial Director.
The Role:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy aligned with business goals, marketing trends and customer needs.
- Conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
- Maintaining a database of competitor product ranges.
- Working closely with suppliers to keep abreast of product trends and ideas.
- Leading the end-to-end product development process from concept to launch.
- Working closely with suppliers to ensure products are delivered on time.
- Managing the new product development process.
- Leading weekly new product development meetings.
- Managing the product timeline and ensuring cross functional engagement.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, customer service, supply chain and finance to ensure alignment and successful execution of product initiatives.
- Managing the entire product lifecycle, including product planning, launch, optimisation and discontinuation decisions.
- Monitoring and reporting on sales performance, range and SKU efficiency.
- Managing all product data, including product descriptions, coding, and product attributes.
- Liaising closely with purchasing and IT to ensure data is accurate and updated in a timely fashion.
- Managing controlled documentation for product specifications.
- Managing pricing and promotions in conjunction with Commercial Director.
- Benchmarking pricing and specifications and making recommendations for new or updated products based on data.
- Ensuring product quality and reliability through technical assessment and quality assurance processes.
- Providing support to the sales team with product training, marketing collateral, and sales enablement tools to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experienced Product Manager within the kitchen or KBB industry.
- Proven experience in managing a kitchen or similar product portfolio, including internal new product development process management.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experienced in using SAP OR ERP systems (beneficial).
- Personal gravitas in order to successfully interact with senior management internally and with external suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyse complex data and market trends.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
