A renowned private medical eye clinic is looking to recruit an Optical Assistant to expand the team to deal with the current demand. This Optical Assistant role is a 6-month contract role—salary up to £27k.
The Optical Assistant will carry out pre and post-operative ophthalmic testing for the patients and help with surgical and admin duties within the nursing team. Full training will be provided but we require some interest in medicine/eyes.
Housed in the most beautiful offices on Harley Street, the Optical Assistant role pays up to £27,000 plus benefits incl. 28 days of holidays. We are looking for a minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer-facing roles. Previous experience in the Ophthalmic sector is advantageous but not required.
Monday to Friday; shifts 08:00-16:30, 08:30-17:00, 09:00-17:30 and 09:30-18:00.
There are two Optical Assistants roles available - one is permanent full time and the other is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extending to full time at the end of the 6-month period.
It is very rare to work weekends and is done on a rota basis. Maybe 2-4 a year at the current pace of weekends. The typical shift for the weekend is 8am-16:30 with lunch paid for by the clinic. If you have to work a Saturday you would be given a day off in the week.
