Stock condition surveys are a core function for ensuring Stonewater’s vision is delivered and that our homes are safe, warm and secure. To meet this challenge, Stonewater are establishing a new, national stock condition team to lead on the assessment of its homes.
This is a new and fantastic opportunity for housing and property professionals to be lead a brand-new team, setting the standards for property data collection and building the knowledge to inform how Stonewater invests over the next 30 years.
As our Senior Stock Condition Surveyor, you will lead and manage the team to schedule and carry out stock condition surveys in line with annual targets.
Ensuring that all homes and communal areas are safe, warm and secure and hazards are identified, actioned and resolved, you will ensure the accuracy and completeness of new stock condition information to assist in programming and compliance with the Decent Homes Standard. You will develop and roll-out annual customer communication and engagement plans and be the company expert on Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS and other related regulations. You will also provide advice and guidance to colleagues to influence future Decent Homes work ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures to ensure there are no statutory, regulatory or contractual breaches.
You will lead on the continuous improvement of Stonewater’s Stock condition strategies, activities, processes and systems and work in partnership with CX and Homes Operations to develop and embed new process and systems to share customer and property information and leverage additional value from stock condition and other activities.
The ideal candidate will:
*Hold an HND (or equivalent qualification) in construction, housing, management, or property, or possesses equivalent experience in a related field.
*Have demonstrable experience in leading and managing high-performance, remote teams to deliver surveying or similar services, consistently meeting annual targets.
*Have experience of collecting, auditing, owning and improving asset data.
*Have a proven track record in developing and implementing effective customer engagement and communication plans.
*Have experience of collaborating across large organisations to build stakeholder relationships, enhance customer-facing services, and improve data collection activities.
*Have in-depth knowledge of the Decent Homes Standard, component lifecycles, HHSRS Rating System, and domestic construction methods and issues.
*Be self-driven with a proactive approach to managing personal workload and identifying service improvement opportunities
*Have strong understanding of building components, common issues, and hazards, with proven ability to diagnose and address defects.
*Have strong written and verbal communication skills, able to handle challenging situations with empathy, professionalism, and a positive outlook.
*Be proficient in IT, with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Housing Management systems.
Appointment to this role will be subject to satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
