Senior Financial Accountant
Leeds | 6-Month Fixed Term Contract | Mainly Office-Based (Hybrid Potential)
£60,000 - £80,000 depending on experience
Our client, a well-established organisation based in Leeds, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant with systems exposure to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role will initially be predominantly office-based, with the potential for it to then offer flexible working 4 days in the office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled financial professional to play a key role in supporting system migrations and financial processes across multiple legal entities.
Key Responsibilities *General Ledger (GL) TB Mapping and configuration between existing systems, such as Sage 200 and Workday.
*Structuring and tagging Fixed Asset Registers across multiple companies, reconciling thousands of assets and asset classes for upload to Workday.
*Structuring and configuring Accruals and Prepayments Schedules to be uploaded and tagged within Workday.
*Developing an understanding of the Workday system and supporting teams with training, guidance, and troubleshooting.
*Performing Financial Reconciliations, including debtors, creditors, transactions, and ledger alignment.
*Conducting Data Verification to meet business and financial reporting requirements.
*Supporting processes across multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
*Providing expertise in P&L, Balance Sheets, and Trial Balances.
*Supporting GL Mapping across multiple entities during ERP migration/implementation.
*Undertaking intermediate-level Excel data analysis and manipulation to support reporting and reconciliations.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
*Proven experience in a Financial Accountant role, ideally involving system migrations or ERP implementations.
*Strong knowledge of General Ledger processes, Trial Balances, P&L, and Balance Sheets.
*Experience working across multiple legal entities.
*High proficiency in Excel, with strong data analysis and manipulation skills.
*Ability to reconcile complex data sets and manage Fixed Asset Registers.
*A proactive and collaborative approach, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
*Prior experience with Workday or similar ERP systems (desirable but not essential).
