Mechanical Technician
Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician keen to work with robotics and automation?
If so, our client is actively seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their growing team in Sheffield.
In this Sheffield based role, you will support the business with their next ambitious and exciting phase of project delivery. They are looking for inquisitive and curious Mechanical Build Engineers to join their team. The successful candidates will liaise with key stakeholders to critically review technical drawings, and build quality, bespoke, robot-based, electromechanical automation systems to specification and in line with required safety standards.
As a Mechanical Technician, teamwork and communication will be essential to the role. You will collaborate cross-departmentally to deliver technical projects, proactively sharing your skills and experience to provide feedback on areas of concern and suggestions for improvement; your goal ultimately being to accurately build and test electrical systems.
Required Experience for this Mechanical Technician role based in Sheffield:
*Qualified to HNC in a mechanical-focused course, or mechanical apprentice trained, or equivalent level of experience
*Good level of machining skills, using milling machines and lathes
*Drilling, tapping and grinding skills alongside general mechanical workshop skills
