*Maintaining a high level of clinical hygiene and biosecurity throughout the hospital.
*Undertake continuing professional and personal development associated with the role.

We admit animals from a large area across the north of England. Prior to Covid 19 and Avian Influenza, we admitted over 6,000 wild, exotic and domestic patients per year.
We take a holistic and team-based approach to individual animal treatment and recognise the importance of committing as much time as we can to focussing on the welfare of the animals that come into our care. This means that you get to work with some amazing, passionate, and supportive team members to focus on what is best for the animals you see.
What makes a great Veterinary Nurse at the RSPCA?
Our Nurses are the heartbeat of the Veterinary team and ensure the work of our Vet Surgeon runs smoothly, with that in mind our Nurse needs to have either a Level 3 Diploma, or a Degree in Vet Nursing and have a current registration with the RCV.
Having experience working with Wildlife is advantageous, along with great attention to detail to keep our records up to date. In addition an interest in animal behaviour would be useful.
