An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estate Manager to join a global managing agent, overseeing a vast and complex estate near Oxford. This role is ideal for someone with a strong operational background, and has experience managing large, complex estates or buildings. Ideally, you will have some experience in managing laboratories or research & development facilities.
As the Estate Manager, you will ensure the seamless operation of the estate services, including maintenance, compliance, and contractor management. You’ll be the key point of contact for tenants, managing a mix of high-tech office spaces, laboratories, and warehouses to ensure both safety and operational excellence along with managing the public realm and landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee all aspects of the estate’s hard & soft services, including planned and reactive maintenance for a highly regulated site.
*Collaborate closely with tenants, contractors, and the in-house team to ensure exceptional service levels.
*Manage and maintain compliance with all HSE and regulatory requirements, particularly those specific to lab and pharmaceutical environments.
*Coordinate and manage external service providers, ensuring high standards in service delivery.
*Provide technical advice and guidance on complex mechanical and electrical systems.
*Monitor and control the estate service charge budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
*Conduct regular inspections and audits, identifying and addressing any potential issues proactively.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
*Hold strong operational FM experience, previously working in the property management field
*Experience managing estates within laboratories or pharmaceutical environments is highly desirable.
*Strong understanding of HSE legislation, compliance standards, and risk management.
*Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with a customer-focused approach.
*Be highly personable, and a strong team leader.
*Proven experience managing budgets, contracts, and complex building systems.
