An excellent Head of Operations role has just come up for an international prestigious client in its field based in West London, Revenue in the billions.
A truly excellent role for a candidate wishing to join the company on a 6-9months contract to cover short term absence. Candidates with a manufacturing background is essential
Position
The Head of Operations will oversee the entire operational framework of the client
ensuring seamless integration between production and service functions. This is a
hands-on role responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining high-quality
standards, and leading a team that includes the Production and Service Manager, and
the personalisation Manager, The Head of Operations will actively engage with daily
operations, set an efficient production process, implement strategic initiatives to enhance
productivity, optimise resources, and achieve organisational goals. Being the main
interface with the corporate functions in Operations, implementing the group guidance,
escalating the incident and coordinating the support from the group .
Key Responsibilities (Not Exhaustive):
*Operational Oversight:
*Oversee and coordinate the activities of the production and service departments.
*Ensure all operations align with the company strategic goals and meet customer
*requirements.
*Monitor and analyse performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and
*address any issues.
*Serve as the Operations production process and Software Release Authority for all
*the production equipment and SW
*Oversee the software and data processing environment.
*Handle ad hoc projects, such as requests from Head Office.
Team Leadership:
*Manage and support the Production and Service Manager, and the Customisation
*Manager, providing guidance and leadership.
*Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the operations team.
*Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify professional development
*opportunities.
*OPS Process:
*Set adapt and check the efficiency of the production process (software + machinery)
*Identify areas for process enhancement and implement lean manufacturing principles.
*Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise resource utilisation.
*Drive the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance operational
*capabilities.
*Select and qualify new equipment, new production software.
Quality Assurance:
In close collaboration with the Security and Quality Manager, ensure that all products
and services meet stringent quality standards and client specifications.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality control processes.
Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Resource Management:
Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Ensure relevant production planning, and capacity planning.
Ensure correct manpower sizing and structure in line with manpower budget, demand
forecast and operational requirements.
Ensure that production machinery and equipment are properly maintained and
operationally ready.
Select and qualify new equipment.
Ensuring sufficient inventory levels of spare parts and consumables.
Strategic Planning:
Set and monitor OPEX budgets, OPS Capex Budget.
Develop and execute operational strategies to achieve cost quality and SLA targets..
Collaborate with senior management to align operational plans with overall company
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and set a progress plan (Xmatrix).
Prepare and present operational reports to the senior management team,
and corporate functions.
Customer Focus:
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address client needs and
ensure satisfaction.
Participate in client meetings and provide technical expertise as needed.
Liaison with international Sales Teams
Address customer inquiries and concerns related to operations in a timely and
effective manner.
Ensure that production and service deliverables meet customer expectations and

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Participate in regular safety audits and implement necessary improvements.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
