Job Title: Security Guard
Location: Sheffield, City Centre
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000
Contract: 12 months, Full-time (Mon-Fri, 1-hour lunch break; potential flexibility for Tues-Sat later in the year)

About the Role:
Verus Recruitment is supporting a leading 3D scanning company in their search for a Security Guard to join their team on a 12-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge environment. While your primary focus will be on maintaining security and visitor safety, you will also support participants as they navigate the scanning process, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience.

Responsibilities:
*Provide a friendly and reassuring presence in the waiting area.
*Direct visitors to the appropriate staff or areas with clear and helpful guidance.
*Monitor entry points, manage visitor flow, and maintain a secure environment.
*Spend designated periods monitoring CCTV to oversee the safety of all areas.
*Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disputes, or challenging situations, prioritizing the safety and well-being of visitors and staff.
*Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify and address safety or security risks.
*Offer assistance to staff, visitors, or customers, including providing directions, answering questions, or addressing concerns.
Requirements:
*Valid UK security qualifications (e.g., SIA licence).
*Proven experience in security or a similar protective role.
*Familiarity with CCTV monitoring and strong attention to detail.
*Confidence and assertiveness when needed, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally and calmly.
*Empathy and observance, with a willingness to learn basic concepts of the scanning process to better assist visitors.
