Job Description:
About the Role
*Responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
*Ensuring the performance, security, and availability of wired and wireless networks.
*Performing network upgrades, supporting daily network operations, and collaborating with IT teams to integrate new technologies.
*Managing fixed and DHCP IP addressing, DNS, NPT, and other networking protocols.
*Maintaining and implementing firewalls and other network security measures.
*Configuring and managing routers, switches, routing protocols, VLANs, network segmentation, virtualization, cloud networking, network automation, and generating detailed network designs and performance reports.
*Supporting integrated audiovisual solutions for meeting rooms.
*Managing display screen solutions and CCTV systems.
*Working with unified communications technologies.
*Assisting with the implementation of 5G use cases.


Essential Experience
*3-5 years’ experience in network engineering, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud infrastructure.
*Expertise in on-prem and cloud networking, hosted platforms, VMware networking, and network security tools.
*Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls (e.g., Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) and VPN technologies.
*Skilled in network monitoring, VLANs, subnetting, ACLs, and IDS/IPS implementation.
Qualifications: *IT-related degree or equivalent experience.
*Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (or similar) preferred.
*Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, SFTP, HSRP, BGP, OSPF).
*Experience with cloud-based networking (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SASE).


Key Responsibilities
*Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring scalability, security, and lifecycle management.
*Configure and manage routing protocols, VLANs, virtualization, and cloud networking solutions.
*Oversee AV solutions, display screens, and CCTV systems, ensuring they meet business needs in collaboration with stakeholders.
*Implement and manage unified communications and support 5G use cases.
*Perform hardware, software, and security upgrades, including patching and in-life network management.
*Ensure a secure, resilient IT environment with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and compliance with security standards.
*Diagnose and resolve network faults, liaising with vendors and 3rd parties as needed.
*Monitor network performance, resolve issues, and suggest reliability and speed improvements.
*Maintain documentation for configurations, topologies, changes, and processes.
*Implement redundancy and failover strategies to ensure business continuity.
*Provide after-hours support (planned and on-call) and act as an escalation point for the IT Helpdesk.
*Share knowledge with team members, stay updated on industry practices, and support the IT Manager in aligning infrastructure with business goals.
