About the Firm
We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable law firm based in Rotheram, known for its expertise in commercial property law. The firm has a longstanding reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to clients across the commercial sector. With a supportive and business-focused environment, the firm offers an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Property Solicitor or Fee Earner with ideally 3+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Commercial Property Fee Earner, you will support the commercial property team in managing a wide variety of transactions. Your key duties will include:
*Handling a range of commercial property transactions, including lease assignments, new leases (acting for both landlords and tenants), licenses to assign, commercial sales and purchases, lease surrenders, extensions, and general commercial property matters.
*Assisting with residential conveyancing, including sales and purchases, declarations of trust, shared ownerships, transfers of equity, and new builds (desirable but not essential).
*Conducting due diligence, including title and lease reviews, and liaising with clients, surveyors, and other stakeholders involved in the transaction.
*Drafting and reviewing commercial leases, licenses, and related legal documentation.
*Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, Land Registry requirements, and other legal standards.
*Managing case records accurately and communicating regularly with clients to manage expectations and provide updates.
*Assisting in resolving complex property issues, such as rights of way, restrictive covenants, and property development matters.
*Building and maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
Key Skills and Experience Required
*3+ years’ PQE in commercial property law (ideal but other suitable experience will be considered).
*Strong understanding of commercial property transactions and relevant legislation.
*Experience in residential conveyancing (advantageous but not essential).
*Excellent client care skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and professionally.
*Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
*High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Experience using property case management systems (advantageous).
*Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
