A leading accountancy firm is seeking a Director to join its expanding Financial Services Audit team. Based in the London team, you will be the first FS hire for this region and as a result a large amount of the role will involve Business Development and building the client base.
The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of Wealth & Asset Management clients. The role also includes a key leadership responsibility, helping guide the development of the team and capitalising on new business opportunities for growth.

Your role as an Audit Director:
*As the Audit Director, you will lead a diverse portfolio of clients within the Financial Services audit team.
*Collaborate with leadership to build the FS audit team’s portfolio of clients.
*Contribute to the strategic direction of the team and support leadership in executing growth plans.
*Manage and support a team of audit professionals, ensuring their development and progress.
*Plan and manage the efficient delegation, flow-through, and completion of audit work for clients.
*Take responsibility for audits and sign audit reports.
*Maintain team standards and procedures.
*Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and contacts.
*Ensure audit work is carried out efficiently and in compliance with the firm’s audit policy and procedures.
What you’ll need to succeed:
*You must be ACA/ACCA Qualified with post qualification experience.
*Currently an RI or an experienced Senior Manger looking to become an RI (must be able to start the process immediately without the need to complete conversion exams).
*Extensive audit experience within the wealth and asset management sector, with a focus on investment trusts, venture capital trusts, open-ended funds, private equity funds, and asset managers.
*Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
*An ambitious and strategic mindset focused on client interactions and growing the financial services business.
*Business development experience with excellent presentation skills.
*Ability to build and lead a brand-new team.
