We have an immediate requirement for an Trainee CNC Machine Setter/Operator with a strong background in component / Mechanical manufacturing.
If you are or have been working in a component engineering business and now seeking a opportunity to further develop your skills and experience to become a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator this is for you.
Duties will include
*Setting up and ensuring relevant program is ready to run on either a CNC lathe or VMC
*You will be operating both mills and lathe
*Running machines concurrently
*Ensure components are produced to specified tolerances from technical drawings
*Inspect components using various measuring equipment such as verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres etc.
*Debur components across a range of materials
*Report any anomalies to the Machine Shop Manager
*Work with Quality Inspection Department during component manufacture.
*Maintain a clean and tidy environment and maintained company standards
*Carry out weekly clean of your assigned CNC machines.

The Person
You will have experience working within a component manufacturing environment ideally with some machine setting and operating knowledge. An engineering qualification. Fanuc or Mazatrol controls knowledge would be beneficial.
*HNC/HND/NVQ in mechanical engineering
*Setting and Operating Milling and Turing Machines
*Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
*Read engineering drawings
*Knowledge of Verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres etc.
*Deburring
*Quality control and Inspection
