Job Description:
Attendance Officer - East Birmingham
Do you have experience as an attendance officer? Are you looking for a new challenge within a dynamic and progressive alternative provision? This school is seeking an experienced attendance officer to monitor, track and report student attendance data. As an attendance officer you will be working closely with an experienced team of pastoral staff to reduce absence levels across the school.
This school has a strong leadership team, with a Headteacher who leads form the front and sets an excellent example for staff and students alike. You will be joining a small team of attendance and administration staff who are committed to excellence. Strong communication and organisational skills are required for this role. This role requires someone who has previous experience as an attendance officer or has monitored attendance in another capacity at school level. You will be required to communicate with parents and students and may be asked to perform home visits.
Job Role:
*Monitoring and managing student attendance data.
*Effectively communicating with the pastoral and leadership team.
*Reporting ay safeguarding concerns to the DSL.
*Communicating with parents about all absence related issues.
*Ensuring student data is recorded appropriately and securely.
*Identifying repeat absentees and identifying the causes behaving absence.
