Early Years Teaching Assistant - Liverpool (L6)
Milk Education are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and skilled Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner primary schools in the L6 area of Liverpool, starting in January 2025.
You will need to be flexible, energetic and enthusiastic about working with children within EYFS! Some students may have additional needs such as Autism and ADHD so you may be expected to work with key children on a 1:1/small group basis.
This will be full time hours, Monday to Friday, term time only, and will be 08:15am - 15:45pm.
Early Years Teaching Assistant key qualifications/attributes:
*Level 2 or above within Childcare/EY Practitioner or equivalent
*Knowledge of phonics schemes - Read, Write, Inc, Jolly Phonics, Letter and Sounds etc.
*To have previous experience in a setting such as a nursery or primary school working with Early Years children
*To have a fun, outgoing and energetic personality that is ideal for working with young children
*Having experience with special educational needs would be an advantage, however not a deal breaker.

Early Years Teaching Assistant responsibilities/duties:
*Assist with the planning of learning activities by identifying and preparing resources required to support lesson plans and learning outcomes.
*Preparation of materials/equipment (e.g. books, pencils, art supplies, games, AVA equipment), preparing and clearing up activities with the pupils.
*Maintaining classroom resources and designated areas.
*Supervise individual or small groups of pupils undertaking teacher-led learning activities by coordinating and explaining basic instructions for the activity, adjusting activities within the scope of the lesson plan and learning outcomes in response to pupils’ learning.
*Assisting pupil achievement by monitoring learning against learning outcomes, informing the teacher of progress.
