The Role
As a French Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring that they develop confidence and proficiency in the French language. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive department that values creativity, innovation and high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students, catering to a range of abilities and learning styles.
*Promote a love of languages and an understanding of French culture through innovative teaching methods and resources.
*Monitor, assess and report on student progress, providing targeted interventions where necessary.
*Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and wider departmental initiatives.
*Support the school’s ethos and values, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Essential Criteria:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in French or a related subject.
*A strong understanding of the French curriculum and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
*A commitment to raising standards and fostering a love for languages in young people.

Desirable Criteria:
*Experience teaching another modern foreign language (e.g. Spanish or German).
*Knowledge of strategies to engage and challenge learners of all abilities.
*A willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or trips abroad.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
