Job Description:
The Mobile/Radio Budget Planning Manager is responsible for developing and managing the radio delivery 3-year plan budget by creating and analysing budgets that support the strategic goals in the Mobile Access Engineering team over three years. Also, forecasting and financial modelling of in-year budget, future rollout delivery scenarios and for new radio platforms and capabilities; and supporting with analysing budgetary opportunities and constraints. You will need to collaborate with engineering teams to understand delivery needs and help that prioritisation of budget aligns with the mobile business strategic goals.
You will be developing and managing the delivery of cost modelling and budget planning that supports the mobile access team. This must be someone who is very keen to learn. You do not need to come with any financial qualifications, but would ideally have experience in cost modelling, budget planning and delivery, CAPEX, forecasting and supporting through analysis of data. Supporting with monthly and quarterly budgets. Approvals and forecasts and then, later in the year, will be half and full year. Using historical data to analyse and build forecast/modelling plans.
Experience in Mobile Telecoms specifically on 3G, 4G and 5G networks; you must have experience of Radio Access architecture, design or planning much better. Candidates should have some experience of budget planning or cost modelling of mobile Radio Access. Intermediate expertise in Microsoft Excel functions/formulas is also expected. Alternatively, someone who brings extensive experience in budget planning, budget management or cost modelling within a Mobile Telecoms business, i.e. a person with experience in Finance or Accounting coming from a Mobile Telecom business will also be acceptable. If the candidate has some knowledge of Mobile Radio Access, much better. Again, intermediate expertise in Microsoft Excel functions/formulas is expected.
