ROLE – Graduate Lab Technician  

SALARY - £25,000- £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Gloucestershire  

My client designs and manufactures specialist products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Graduate Lab Technician to join their team in Gloucestershire on a permanent basis. 

The Lab Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

*Ideally be Degree qualified in a Chemistry or a related discipline
*Excellent hands-on skills, with experience working in a lab
*Management skills
*Excellent problem-solving skills 
*Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
*Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team


Responsibilities include:

*Prepare and conduct laboratory experiments under the guidance of senior researchers.
*Perform testing and analysis on materials and prototypes.
*Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
*Accurately document results and compile data for reports.
*Support the design and assembly of test setups and prototypes.
*Solving problems and improving engineering processes
*Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans  
*Liaising with other departments to manage such projects 
*Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met 
*Design equipment layouts 
*Maintaining technical documentation as required 
*Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry 
*Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
