Job Description:
Main duties:
*To provide leadership, management and professional guidance to a team of social workers and manage the development of skilled and confident practitioners.
*To ensure the delivery of high quality delivery of social work services which safeguard children, promote positive outcomes and are responsive, timely and within statutory guidelines.
*Be responsible for ensuring that the ensuring that the council meets its statutory obligations to safeguard children and promote their welfare by complying with legislation, policy and procedures and relevant frameworks.
*The role of the Team Manager is to provide leadership for the Practice Managers within their service. In a challenging and pressurised environment with competing priorities ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality children’s services in the Children & Families Service.
*The Team Manager is accountable to the Service Manager for the day to day management and supervision of their team.
