The Role
As Deputy Director of Learning - Mathematics, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of the Maths Department. You will work closely with the Director of Learning to deliver high-quality teaching and learning and lead curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the Director of Learning in leading the Maths Department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
*Contribute to curriculum planning and innovation to meet the needs of all learners.
*Coach, mentor, and inspire members of the Maths team to develop their skills and improve student outcomes.
*Analyse performance data to inform strategic planning and interventions.
*Teach mathematics to students across a range of abilities, modeling outstanding teaching practice.
*Deputise for the Director of Learning as needed.

About You
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual who is committed to raising standards and inspiring students.
Essential Criteria:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
*A proven track record of successful teaching across a range of abilities and age groups.
*Leadership experience, either as a Head of Department, Second in Department, or equivalent role.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and students alike.
*A commitment to promoting high expectations and fostering a positive learning culture.

Desirable Criteria:
*Experience in curriculum development and planning.
*A willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives and extracurricular activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
