Job Description:
A leading Entertainment company is currently looking for an experienced Client Payments individual to join their team in a Supervisory role.
This highly successful and award-winning business has various interests with key divisions being within TV Production and the Management division. This is a great time to join this growing business that has a great reputation within the industry and also an employer of choice!
With offices in the UK & US, the business is credited with managing an enviable portfolio of high profile and emerging talent within the Entertainment industry including Actors, Writers & Authors, Producers and Directors. They are also known globally for producing award winning Productions (long and short form) and have a number of critically acclaimed titles within their repertoire that have been well received by global audiences.
This supervisory position will join the finance team to help support the client management teams, ensuring timely payments to clients and develop processes to facilitate business growth.
To be a suitable candidate it is essential that you have previous experience in Client/Talent/Artist Payments.
Responsibilities of the role include:
*Review client statements and liaise with the Client Management teams for review
*Review, post and reconcile incoming payments to relevant talent & client projects
*Set up and approve domestic and international payments and bank transfers
*Calculation of commission splits and identify commission splits relating to third-party agents
*Liaise with agents/clients/accountants relating to any client payment queries
*Run bi-weekly client income review reports, ensuring accuracy of data
*Prepare project general ledgers for clients when requested
*Raise invoices (including VAT invoices) on behalf of clients and follow up for payment if required
*Bank reconciliations for client accounts
*Support, supervise and train/develop junior members of staff
*Assist to improve existing systems and processing and assist in implementing changes
Candidate Specifications:
*Previous finance experience gained within a relevant Media or Management agency (literary, music, entertainment etc) with a good working knowledge of artist payments
*Strong excel skills
*Experience in managing or supervising individuals would be beneficial
*Charismatic with a nice confident communication style that easily builds a rapport with others.
*Organised with great attention to detail and able to work under pressure to set deadlines
*Self motivated with a positive, logical, can-do attitude who likes to see a task through to the end
*A genuine passion for the Media/Entertainment/TV/Film industries
