Job Description:
Vickers Neal Recruitment are delighted to be working with Art Story and have a new and exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager.
Art Story is the fast-growing Art Consultancy brand launched by Elegant Clutter, a team of over 50 people that provides a full-service approach to art projects, specialising in Hospitality and Cruise. Art Story believes in the role of art as storyteller and the approach is centred on understanding client strategy to be able to enhance guest experience. The business is currently making a series of significant investments to drive growth that will be led by investments in hiring the right people.
Purpose of the role: The main focus of this London based full time role is to build and develop Art Story’s new client base across the luxury hospitality and cruise sectors. The BDM will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and briefing in Art projects to the Art Story HQ team. The role will offer the opportunity to collaborate with the Senior Management Team on strategies to increase revenue and market share.

Main Responsibilities:
*Delivering Revenue Growth for the Art Story Brand with a London-centric strategy.
*Seek out opportunities to build long term key accounts with like-minded clients in Hospitality and Cruise.
*Line Management of 1 other BD team member with scope to increase.
*Regular reporting to the Leadership team on Sales performance and KPIs.
*Activate Sales and Marketing working together as combined effort.
Detailed Responsibilities:
*Develop own leads and opportunities to pitch Art Story to potential clients and partners.
*Assist Clients to build initial Art Briefs where required.
*Consult with potential clients on suitable artwork solutions and concepts.
*Build a structured networking programme through attending relevant events and exhibitions as well as hosting social events.
*Provide insight and feedback on products and services that will strengthen Art Story’s capabilities. Grow an understanding of Art Story’s competitors to assist this aim.
*Support the development of marketing and PR initiatives to position Art Story as an industry leader.
*Collaborate with Account Managers and Art Consultant team (and their department Heads) to convert leads and RFPs to ordered projects.
*Visit Company HQ in Warwick 2-3 times per month and attend company social events to build relationships with the team.
*Run regularly department catch ups to focus on celebrating team wins and continual improvement.
*Develop CRM system and process to foster the best client relationships.
*Evening attendance to events and networking functions
*Confident presenter, comfortable communicating with key decision makers and high-profile clients.
*Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and treat all colleagues with dignity and respect.
*Has an interest in and is passionate about art and design.
Required Experience:
*Proven experience in a similar role, specifically looking for a background of 3-4 years working in business development in the same industries.
*Ability to bring in and convert new leads, focusing on closing deals.
*The candidate will already have an extensive network of Interior Designers, Procurement Consultants, Hotel & Cruise Brands/Operators and Owner-Investors working in the upper upscale and luxury categories.
*Proficient in Sales and Marketing best practices
*Demonstrated ability to cultivate positive working relationships with clients
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Managing direct reports in a Sales, BD or Account Management team
*Taking pride in providing exceptional service to clients.
*Strong organisational, commercial skills and attention to detail.
*The successful candidate will share our values of taking ownership, finding a way and be a natural relationship builder.
Future of the role: The priority is to build a strong return on investment with a London based approach. This will then naturally lead to the BD team expanding under the leadership of the Business Development Manager. There is potential to support the development of the hired BDM into a head of Sales and Marketing role within 12-24 months, dependent on aptitude and performance.

Basic Salary range of £50 - £65k dependent on experience
Uncapped commission of 33% on basic salary
First 6 months of the role with guaranteed commission to help launch.
