Job Description:
Kenny Recruit are working with an exciting manufacturing & distribution company in their search for a Finance Director. If you’re looking for an ethical company, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. This company has one goal, and that is joining the movement towards zero waste!
This is an extremely important hire as the company try to expand their UK footprint. You will be the strategic financial advisor to the Managing Director of the UK and a key influencer in a growth market of a high growth innovative business.
This key role demands a high level of energy, commercial acumen, and a focus on operational finance responsibilities within a fast paced and growing sustainable company.
You will be responsible for effective financial reporting, compliance and management of cashflow, financial risk management, forecasting, and determining the financial strategy as the company continues to grow. It is a fantastic opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team at this pivotal stage.
Pay: £85,000 - £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits
Location: Central London (ideally 4 days in the office but would consider 3 for the right candidate).
Working hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm
Responsibilities:
*Lead and develop a finance team, providing direction and support to staff as required on a day to day basis.
*Oversee and manage financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance to procedures across material entities across Australia and Asia (high potential new markets)
*Co-ordinating and prepare budgeting and ad hoc forecasts for your entities
*Oversee and co-ordinate the month end close process on time by Working Day 3
*Oversee controls and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure there is robust analysis and understanding of key balance sheet items eg inventory.
*Work with the Financial Control team to develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to uphold standards across the Group including Tax related items
*Maintain legal compliance and strong governance for the company, with a particular focus on tax and VAT compliance in additional to championing GDPR compliance.
*Lead and manage audit queries for your respective entities.
*Collaborate with cross functions teams to support strategic decision-making and process improvement
*Help the business to understand where the problems and opportunities are within its operations.
*Ad hoc projects and analysis to support the executive team eg new market entry analysis
The ideal candidate would be someone who is/has...
*Has experience as Head of Finance, FD or similar senior level within an SME.
*Exceptional leadership and communication abilities to guide and motivate teams
*Strong technical skills in finance, including expertise in financial analysis and reporting
*Excellent IT skills with the ability to leverage finance software and systems effectively. Is proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Power BI (or similar dashboarding software).
*Has thorough knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
Optional:
*Experience in Net Suite and process improvement projects will viewed favourably
*Experience in acquisition integration and/or M&A
*Experience working in a subsidiary of a larger group where functional leadership is in another market
