Our client is seeking a strong Finance Manager to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a new challenge with an award-winning legal practice.
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the accounts department and providing essential financial insights to the Partnership. Your contributions will support the efficient and profitable running of the practice, ensuring compliance and excellence across all financial operations.
Key Responsibilities Include: *Leading the accounts department and ensuring compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
*Training and supporting accounts staff to maintain high standards.
*Overseeing payroll processes, including annual returns to HMRC, P11D submissions, and liaising with the firm’s payroll bureau.
*Managing VAT returns, Companies House returns, and liaising with auditors on Solicitors’ Accounts Rules audits.
*Preparing monthly and year-end management accounts and collaborating with external accountants on financial statements and tax matters.
*Monitoring and controlling financial expenditure, maintaining nominal ledgers, and ensuring accurate financial records.
*Working closely with senior management and attending Senior Management Team meetings to provide financial expertise.
*Maintaining relationships with the firm’s banks and suppliers.

We are looking for a Finance Manager with a proven track record in a similar role within a legal practice. You will be a confident leader, an analytical thinker, and an effective communicator who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills & Experience: *You will have experience in finance management within a legal practice.
*Comprehensive knowledge of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
*Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in practice management software and Excel.
*Payroll expertise, including a deep understanding of HMRC regulations and processes.
*A flexible and proactive approach.
