Job Description:
Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Data Analyst for a 12-monthcontract on a hybrid basis with office attendance just once every 2 weeks. The role is open for any of our client’s UK offices in Southend-on-Sea, Edinburgh, Glasgow or London.
Purpose of the Role:
Our client, a major UK Retail Bank, have recently undertaken an acquisition and will be onboarding a large number of new accounts/customers. They are seeking an experienced Reporting Analyst to assist with onboarding these new datasets into their systems, establishing potential impacts on their existing reporting and ensuring that these new customers are correctly reflected in their processes. Fraud regulatory reporting will be a particularly important part of this project including ensuring that the new account data is integrated with existing regulatory reporting processes.
Responsibilities of the role:
*Collaborate with stakeholders to onboard new customer datasets from recently acquired accounts into existing systems and processes.
*Assess the impact of new data on current reporting frameworks (including Fraud) and ensure compliance.
*Create and maintain reporting solutions that accurately reflect newly integrated customer data.
*Conduct detailed analysis of trends and performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
*Develop, enhance, and deploy dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to visualize and communicate data insights effectively.
*Support the delivery of ad hoc MI requests related to fraud prevention and performance improvement.
*Ensure regulatory requirements are met by integrating new data seamlessly into existing reporting processes.
What we require from the candidate:
*Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake for managing and analyzing large datasets.
*Strong expertise in Tableau or other visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
*Hands-on experience in fraud prevention, ideally in a retail banking context.
*Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and best practices.
*Proven ability to handle large, complex datasets and synthesize meaningful insights.
*Attention to detail and a focus on delivering accurate, high-quality work outputs.
