The Creative Industries department at Brighton MET has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Technician in Media, Film and Broadcast to join our brilliant team.
The role is to support teaching and learning in our fantastic Film and Media department and is great opportunity for a film or media practitioner to join Brighton MET at an exciting time in this industry.
As our Specialist Technician, you will be part of our hardworking creative technician team and be supported by the Senior Technician for Creative Industries. You will have a strong working knowledge of film and creative media and ideally a degree in film or a related subject.
There are many exciting elements in this role and one of the key aspects is to support students at our regular live broadcasts from Brighton Dome – this work experience activity usually takes place in the evenings. This equipment is in demand and requires regular servicing and maintenance and the purchase of consumables and equipment is also a key part of the job.
The creative industries technicians play a very important part in the set-up of our renowned End of Year show which takes place every June – this is physical, hard work but enjoyable and very rewarding.
