Interim Finance Business Partner - Local Authority
Location: London
Duration: 6 Months
Day Rate: £250-£300 per day
Hybrid: 2-3 days on site
We are recruiting on behalf of a local authority for an Interim Finance Business Partner to support key services across various areas within Environmental Services.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide financial management support across multiple departments, with a specific focus on Environmental Services (Transport, Highways, Environmental Health, Waste).
*Navigate and advise on the financial complexities and challenges facing local government, ensuring alignment with the broader objectives of the council.
*Partner with senior stakeholders to support decision-making, budget planning, and financial strategy.
*Deliver comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to aid service delivery.
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, while promoting continuous professional development.
Essential Requirements:
*CCAB qualified (preferably CIPFA) with evidence of continuing professional development.
*Significant experience in local government financial management, with a strong understanding of financial challenges in areas within Environmental Services.
*Excellent analytical and Excel skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to simplify complex financial data.
*Previous experience working as a Finance Business Partner within a local authority
*Knowledge of Oracle is desirable.
