12 month contract as a Technical Accountant (IFRS17), based in London 1-2 days on site and will pay £750-£800 per day.

Description
As the Technical Accountant you will be responsible for:
*Providing IFRS17 technical accounting advice and guidance
*Building and developing Excel models performing accounting and modelling calculations
*Designing and supporting new processes, controls, and Working Day Timetables (WDT)
*Support with Audit engagement requirements and responding to queries.
*Support the development and implementation of the Accounting Rules, Chart of Accounts, ledger posting and IFRS 17 disclosures.
*Assist in ensuring that reporting solutions used across the Finance function are fit for purpose in the rollout of IFRS 17.
*Other ad-hoc tasks as required to ensure business readiness for IFRS 17 (e.g., GL data cleansing, resolving data issues, and supporting data migration).
Profile
The successful candidate will be extensive knowledge and experience of IFRS17 ideally within a public sector environment but other industries are welcome. Along with having financial modelling skills and have the ability to make large complex sets of data more manageable for other stakeholders. You will be required to hold SC or be eligible to undergo the vetting.
Job Offer
£750-£800 per day, hybrid working, 12 months contract.
