Telecommunications Specialist We are seeking a highly experienced Telecommunications Specialist with extensive hands-on experience in the financial sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing PSTN networks, SIP trunks, IP PBX, SBC, CUCM systems, and third-party voice recording systems, specifically within an investment banking environment.
Day-to-Day of the Role: *Design, implement, and manage the Bank’s NICE NTR compliance phone recording system, recording servers, and compliance storage.
*Ensure the integrity and configuration of telecommunications systems.
*Utilise Unigy trading turrets and Cisco desk phones, including Cisco Jabber.
*Implement and configure NICE phone recording systems and manage their compliance storage.
*Oversee VOIP service providers, including contract management and fee negotiations.
*Lead projects related to voice telecommunications, including server builds and the implementation of switches and routers.
*Produce and maintain high-standard technical diagrams.
*Diagnose and lead the resolution of network problems.
*Manage and collaborate with team members and work independently on telecommunications strategies.
*Present to and engage with senior executives to gain trust and agreement on projects.
*Provide timely reporting to management on progress and issues.
*Maintain regulatory and technology awareness to stay competitive.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Extensive experience in digital telecommunications systems management and administration.
*Expertise in NICE NTR recording systems and Centera compliance storage.
*Proficient in IP routing, firewalls, and CUCM administration.
*Ability to project manage and produce detailed technical documentation.
*Strong leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage incidents.
*Availability for occasional on-call duties outside of standard working hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
