VAT Associate - Key Responsibilities
This varied role will encompass technical work, marketing and business development, and administrative tasks, allowing you to make a significant impact across the business.
Technical Work
*Support the senior team with client projects, including research and technical input.
*Prepare technical reports, briefing papers, and respond to VAT queries.
*Research VAT positions using HMRC guidance, case law, and commentary.
*Join client calls, take notes, and draft follow-ups.
Marketing and Business Development
*Contribute to marketing content and website updates.
*Assist with framework and tender submissions.
*Identify opportunities for expanding client services and support webinars, including drafting content and presenting.
Administrative Tasks
*Organise and schedule meetings, liaise with clients, and manage internal documentation.
*Maintain and update records in Workbooks (WB).
*Support billing processes and assist with drafting quotes and proposals.
*Manage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
What My Client is Looking For
*Experience: Previous analytical data experience or VAT experience is essential.
*Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and Word.
*Mindset: Self-motivated, organised, and dedicated to delivering high-quality work.
*Flexibility: Ability to drive to their rural location and adapt to a hybrid working environment.
