If so, we want you to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor at our dynamic and inclusive college in East London.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
*Work closely with students to support their social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
*Identify triggers and underlying causes of challenging behaviour.
*Implement effective strategies to manage and improve behaviour.
*Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
*Serve as a role model, inspiring students to develop resilience and self-confidence.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for someone who has:
*Experience working with young people, especially those with behavioural challenges.
*Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and intervention techniques.
*Awareness of the factors contributing to challenging behaviour, such as trauma, anxiety, or unmet needs.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
*Minimum qualification of GCSE
Desirable Qualifications:
*A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Education, Youth Work, or a related field.
*Additional training in behaviour management or SEN (Special Educational Needs) support.
