Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Operative, where you will be integral to our operations, ensuring that orders are processed efficiently and safely. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle various tasks from picking and packing orders to loading vehicles, all while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Day-to-day of the role: *Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely dispatch to customers.
*Unload vehicles, ensuring no damage to materials or lorry, and check received materials.
*Operate machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational and safety procedures.
*Load vehicles according to the manifest, ensuring compliance with vehicle regulations and efficient route planning.
*Move materials around the warehouse safely using forklifts or overhead cranes as required.
*Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety, regularly cleaning and tidying the warehouse.
*Work collaboratively with other departments to meet customer requests and improve service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
*Ability to operate warehouse machinery, with relevant licenses for forklifts or overhead cranes an advantage.
*Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
*Good organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks efficiently.
*Excellent team working skills and a ’can-do’ attitude.
*Basic proficiency with computer systems and handheld scanners.
*Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
