Job Description:
A rare opportunity has arisen within a long established and lading global technology company for an Experienced CAD Layout Designer.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will produce detailed manufacturing drawings for CNC Punching, Brake Press & Welding Assembly processes for factory manufacturing.
Your main duties will include:
*To draw the component sheet metal parts required to assemble the product.
*To efficiently programme & nest the parts for punching to utilise the least amount of material required.
*To utilise the provided software packages to achieve this process.
*To ensure all input information is correct to enable the following folding & assembly processes to be completed successfully.
*To work with R&D on continuous improvement projects and to provide support in developing new products.
The successful candidate must be able understand and read drawings, be proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCad.
In addition to this, you will have a knowledge of CNC punch programming and the Brake Press process. You will be a good communicator and have the ability to learn and use new software packages for layout and CNC processes.
Experience/Qualifications
*Desirable: Experience operating / programming CNC Punch Machine.
*Previous experience working with SolidWorks and 3D modelling
*Previous Manufacturing Experience within the sheet metal work environment.
*IT Literate
