Job Description:
Bookkeeper
Salary: Circa £28,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Southbourne, Dorset (Hybrid Working)
Hours: Monday - Friday, flexible working considered
Contract: Permanent
Our client is a rapidly expanding distributor of affordable network accessories, serving both domestic and international customers. Due to continued success, they’re seeking an experienced Finance professional to join their dynamic team. Main Responsibilities:
*Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping and office operations.
*Ensure accurate financial records align with accounting standards.
*Manage multi-currency transactions and financial reporting.
*Handle accounts payable and receivable, including credit control.
*Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate records.
*Administer payroll processes and VAT returns.
*Support facilities management, including contract negotiation, utilities, and asset management.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
*Allocate resources effectively to support business operations.
*Manage non-stock purchases.
Required Skills/Experience:
*Bookkeeping qualification or related field.
*Proven experience in a similar role with strong bookkeeping knowledge.
*Proficiency in handling multi-currency transactions.
*Expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable.
*Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling experience.
*Familiarity with VAT returns and regulatory compliance.
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
*Experience in facilities management, contracts, and utilities is advantageous.
*Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
*Understanding of ISO compliance and management.
