IT Support Engineer (2nd Line)
West Bromwich (3 days a week in the office) - commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Oldbury, or Stafford
Up to £32,000 per annum
A growing software company in West Bromwich are looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join the team. This business support other businesses with building cloud-based and on-premise applications for various industries. They have been going for more than 20 years.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 2nd line support for IT infrastructure issues, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network problems.
*Implement and manage system upgrades, patches, and configurations.
*Document technical procedures, configurations, and solutions for future reference.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with business goals and objectives.
*Provide excellent customer service and support to internal stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
*Proven experience in an IT infrastructure role, with a focus on 2nd line support.
*Strong understanding of Active Directory and it’s components.
*Experience with WIndows Server (2016 or later)
*Experience with network administration.
*Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
*Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
*Excellent problem-solving skills.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
