Job Opportunity: Payroll Administrator
Location: Brighton
Working Hours: 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Lunch: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience), with an annual salary review in March
Holiday: 25 days + bank/public holidays
Our client are a dynamic, progressive, and tech-driven practice offering an exciting opportunity to join their growing team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a vital role in providing a fast and efficient payroll service for their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process payroll from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate payments
*Maintain comprehensive payroll records
*Calculate part-months and holiday pay
*Manage statutory payments and process P45’s
*Communicate with clients to clarify calculations and resolve queries
*Administer client pension schemes, working with multiple providers
Essential Skills & Experience:
*Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
*Experience in data entry and record-keeping
*Proficiency in Excel
*Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Proactive problem-solving abilities
*Comfortable working with IT systems and payroll software (Sage, STAR)
*Well-organised, capable of multitasking and prioritising tasks
*Minimum 5 GCSEs (A-C), including Maths and English
*Previous payroll function experience is essential
